Gibson is also an official founder of Trail Hounds rating trails for our walks!
Gibson is a 6 year old Rottweiler-Retriever mix. He was a stray, but is now a spoiled guy with his own sofa and doggy pool.
He likes to go for long walks, swim, play with his toys, chase squirrels in the yard, go for car rides and look out of the window at home. |
Sir Charlie Blue of Staar, CGC, AATD, NA, NAJ, NJC, JS-N |
Charlie is an Australian Shepherd, about 4 years old. He was left at the Chatham County animal shelter and rescued by the Aussie Rescue. Charlie was placed in a foster home and soon became a permanent resident. Although his past is unknown, he is very obedient and is doing great at agility classes, he has achieved few agility titles, NAJ, NA (AKC), NJ-C (NADAC) and JS-N (ASCA) and got few legs towards his Open titles. He is always ready to go for walks and see his Trail Hounds friends on weekends. |

My name is Chip, friends call me Chipper. I am a happy and blessed little guy. Mom tells me I am a Bichon Frise, and yes, I am a "JR wannabe"! As the littlest one so far on the Trail Hounds walks, seems I manage to keep up with my larger buddies--my legs just move faster! Walking trails is fun for me, I LOVE the outdoors and getting my coat dirty. Mealtime is very special to me, I love my new raw diet. I used to get sick a lot, but the vet said that now I am very healthy for an 11-year old little guy like me! Yippee, maybe that means that I won't have to go back to the vet anytime soon! Hope to see all of my pals soon on the next Trail Hounds walk! Lots of love from me and my mom... |

Bailey is a 5 year old purebred mutt. He is equal parts Black Lab, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd and Collie. He's very gentle and a big chicken, but he loves to play with all of the other Trail Hounds!
Fancy is 7 years old. She's mostly White German Shepherd, but there might be some Greyhound mixed in for variety. She's a very affectionate dog but can be on the dense side. :-) Although she's not much for playing with other dogs, she loves being around them and exploring the great outdoors on our Trail Hounds walks.
Bailey and Fancy are just two of a growing family. They share the place with four cats and a little human vying for attention since February 2002! |

Suzy is a retired racing greyhound from a track in Florida. She is very outgoing and loves people. She will give you lots of kisses and sing for you.
Suzy likes her new pet life and enjoys snoozing on her chair, going for walks and car rides. She also goes to greyhound playgroup where she meets all of her greyhound friends and runs around in a fenced-in field.
Suzy is very smart, she knows several tricks like sit, down, stay, shake hand, other hand, roll over and holding a cookie on her nose.

Susi is 5 years old. She was born with a heart defect, which was surgically repaired when she was 10 weeks old. Now she is a healthy and happy dog who does agility, obedience and tracking. But her favorite things are meals, naps and being thoroughly spoiled by family and friends. |
Baby Ruth is a 16 year old Dachshund girl. She was dumped at an animal shelter because she was old, blind, very overweight and grumpy. After losing weight she can now go for little walks, run around the house and chase the cat. She is a little hound with big personality! She likes to sniff around the yard, eat snackies and take naps on the sofa. Baby Ruth is looking forward to many Trail Hounds walks and share her wisdom with others. |

Born in late July 2002 at a puppy mill in western Wake County, Anne and Connor were doomed to a fate worse than death... a lifetime of neglect, abuse and no love.
Fortunately, SPCA of Wake County became involved as well as rescue organizations and plucked the puppies and the adults from what one official described as "intolerable conditions".
Since that time, Anne and Connor have lived the fat life of puppies well-spoiled. They both have Puppy I class under their belts (collars?) and plans to continue their education are currently in the works. |

Scarlet (at the Rainbow Bridge) |
Calvin is a golden retriever and black lab mix who is almost two years old. He loves to play and run and loves other dogs. As soon as he sees his fellow trailhounds he starts crying and pacing in the car . He wants to get out and see his friends. He has lots of energy, but at night and in the morning loves to snuggle and gives lots of kisses. He has enjoyed being the spoiled only child. But, Calvin will soon become a big brother, but we think he will make a great big brother and play really well with the baby. |

Hi! We're Chatham (border collie) and Hannah (Shepard)! We have a human companion (Maria Moffa) and live in Sanford, NC. Chatham is 2 1/2 and Hannah is 1 1/2. We were both rescued, Hannah from the humane society and Chatham was found at 4 weeks old in Maria's friend's garage. We love playing together inside and out, but love sleeping on the bed with Maria. Chatham loves to give kisses and Hannah is quite the little lady at all times! Please post our pictures on your website!

Sir Waldo is a retired racing greyhound from a track in West Viginia. He joined the Trail Hounds in April 2003 and enjoys meeting new friends.
Waldo had to learn the ropes of being a pet and overcome some fear and confusion. But now he is a certified therapy dog and visits nursing homes with his friend GreenBean!
Waldo is a sweet boy and will lean against you to get his ears scratched. He loves to go for walks and ride in 'his' minivan. |
Little Butterfly is an Afghan Hound. She retired from her job as a show dog and is now sporting her easy to maintain pet haircut. Butter joined the Newsome family in December 2004. She is a sweet little girl wagging her tail all the time. She loves people and rides in the minivan. Pretty soon she will start training to become a Canine Good Citizen. Butter is looking forward to meeting her new Trail Hounds friends! |
